Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
Welcome to my DHS usability project page! Here I talk about my group project-its layout, the process, solution, and results.

My team and I tested the main website for the Department of Homeland Security (dhs.gov). We tested the News section, general navigation, Find My ID, and the Twitter page.
Date: Spring 2020 at Mercer University
Â
Problem

The Department of Homeland Security needed a usability test to address areas of frustration and navigability.
Â
Solution
Â
Usability test (remote due to COVID-19)
Â
Skills
Â
Role: Scenario Writer and Narrator
Test Plan Contributions
I wrote the task list, test plan scenarios, pre- and post-test questionnaire (based on an email from Adriana Vecchio, Web Designer). The scenarios guided the participants through the website. For the final report, my sections were the test objectives, purpose statement, methodology (except the technology section), general protocol, findings from post-test questionnaire and its chart (see the usability report's appendix, pages 22-25).
